Welbilt’s Cassie Johnston Named a Change Maker
by the Women’s Foodservice Forum

NEW PORT RICHEY, Fla. – Associate Product Manager Cassie Johnston from Welbilt Inc., has been named a Change Maker by the Women’s Foodservice Forum (WFF), a national thought-leader on gender equity solutions in the food industry. A Change Maker is a woman who is already driving strong business results early in her career, exemplifies inclusive leadership and is seen as a future industry leader. This notable group of the food industry’s rising stars will be honored at the WFF’s 2019 Annual Leadership Development Conference on March 11 in Dallas, Texas.

Eight years ago, Cassie was a marketing intern at Manitowoc® Ice, the No. 1 manufacturer of ice machines in North America and one of Welbilt’s leading brands. Summer after summer, she learned the business until she earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire and a was hired as a Product Marketing Analyst. Cassie’s drive and attention to detail resulted in several promotions. Now an Associate Product Manager, she has launched four new products and is responsible for two global product lines, all before reaching the age of 30.

In addition to recognition during the WFF conference, the Change Makers will participate in ongoing research surveys and focus groups to help identify key factors that influence success early in a woman’s career and provide participating companies with greater insight into how to support the development of young female leaders. Change Makers will also receive permanent membership in the WFF, allowing access to mentorship opportunities plus tools to advance their careers and expand their network.
