MANITOWOC, WI – September 22, 2006 – Manitowoc, America’s #1 selling commercial ice machine was recognized for excellence in product design in the third annual Dealer Design Awards program sponsored by The Air Conditioning Heating & Refrigeration News magazine (The ACHR News). The award winning SN-12/20 countertop ice and water dispenser received the bronze medal in the Refrigeration and Ice Machine category. An independent panel of 45 contractors acted as judges in the contest that had 112 entries from 75 manufacturers. This is the second time in the three-year history of the competition that Manitowoc Ice has been recognized for its superior products.

The patented bearing design minimizes wear, enabling routine check-ups at three-year intervals rather than the industry standard of six months. Installation has been made easier with a built-in drain line that allows for a connection out the back or bottom of the unit. Parts are readily accessible with the removal of two thumbscrews and the built-in clean cycle keeps operations flowing smoothly.
