Ice machines may seem like fairly simple devices, but if they break down or need cleaning, they really bring a chill to the day.

According to Steve Demsien, director of group marketing for Manitowoc Foodservice Group, Manitowoc makes ice machines that are sure to keep the freeze where it belongs. "The Manitowoc S-Series ice machines are the only machines designed to meet all of the hotel's needs in one package,” says Demsien. "We named them the S-series because of the key features and benefits: savings, sanitation, serviceability, and sound reduction,” he adds. These features include savings in energy costs, sanitation with a self-cleaning system, serviceability with a separate electrical system, and sound reduction from insulating panels.

Cleaning a Manitowoc ice machine is a snap. "With no side or top panels to remove, a Manitowoc machine can be cleaned from the front without any tools required. The labor savings alone makes most operators repeat purchasers,” Demsien says.
