Dozens of Manitowoc Ice Machines Earn the ENERGY STAR® |

 MANITOWOC, WI – Jan 8, 2008 – Manitowoc Ice, America’s #1 selling ice machine now offers dozens of air-cooled, cube-style ice machines that have met ENERGY STAR standards. In January of 2008, the EPA’s ENERGY STAR program announced that ice machines that meet maximum potable water and energy consumption limits would become eligible for ENERGY STAR recognition in its commercial kitchen equipment category. Manitowoc ice machines that have earned the ENERGY STAR are up to 15 % more energy and water efficient than standard models. “Manitowoc ice machines have always been known for their low operating costs. Now, with ice machines being included in the ENERGY STAR program, it will be even easier for customers to quickly identify the most energy efficient models,” states John Sara, senior product manager for Manitowoc Ice. Over 97% of Manitowoc's cube ice machines meet or exceed stringent energy performance standards such as those established by CEE or ENERGY STAR.
