The shape of ice has everything to do with its intended purpose.  Whether used in beverages, food presentation or healthcare services, Manitowoc Ice offers eight different types of ice in order to satisfy the widest variety of uses.

Half Dice Ice

Half Dice Cube

Hard, clear ice cube with unique "rhomboid" shape 3/8'' x 1-1/8'' x 7/8'' in dimension.  Ice production from 130 to 3,300 lbs. per day.  Produced with vertical evaporator for maximum efficiency.  Maximum cooling with nearly 100% ice to water ratio.

Dice Ice Type

Dice Cube

Hard, clear ice cube with unique "rhomboid" shape 7/8'' x 7/8'' x 7/8'' in dimension.  Ice production from 60 to 3,300 lbs. per day.  Offered in modular and undercounter ice machines.  Maximum cooling with nearly 100% ice to water ratio.  Perfect for maximum cooling, slow melt, and quick production.

Regular Ice Type

Regular Cube

Hard, clear ice cube with unique "rhomboid" shape 1-1/8'' x 1-1/8'' x 7/8'' in dimension.  Maximum cooling with nearly 100% ice to water ratio.

Offered on select Indigo series

Tubular Nugget Ice Type

Tubular Nugget

Softer, chewable texture with good cooling.  Cylindrical shaped nugget with 5/8'' diameter and average length of approximately 1''.  With the longer pieces and 90% ice quality, tubular nugget is ideal for dispensing applications.  Daily ice production from 300 to 1,100 lbs.

Nugget Ice Type

Softer, chewable texture is easy to chew but hard enough to be dispensed without hand scooping.  Pieces range from 3/8'' to 1/2'' in width and length on average.  Undercounter, modular and ice/water dispensers with daily ice production ranging from 150 to 350 lbs.
Offered on the RNS Series, coming Q4 2011.
Flake Ice Type

Flake

Small, soft pieces of ice with a 73% ice to water ratio.  Forms around object without bruising and holds in place without tipping/spilling.  Perfect for food and beverage presentation, preservation and hand scooping into drinks.  Ranging from 150 to 2,600 lbs. of daily ice production.

Crushed Ice Type

Crushed

Manitowoc dice or half dice cubes crushed into small pieces using a Manitowoc ice machine and a Servend beverage dispenser equipped with icepic™ ice crusher.  Provides a selection of crushed or cubed ice from a single ice maker/ice-beverage dispenser combination.  Maximum cooling with nearly 100% ice to water ratio.

Gourmet Ice Type

Gourmet

Hard, clear individual ice cube with unique octagon shape 1-3/8'' x 1-3/8'' dimension, maximum cooling with nearly 100% ice to water ratio.  Premium beverage companion with its crystal like appearance.  Daily ice production from 30 to 184 lbs.
Offered on the SM-50 and the EC2 (international only) spray ice product lines.
